I wish I had known him, I love to read his poetry and his simple style of living with nature is something we all can learn from, especially in these trying times! James was a charming and delightful man, so humourous and clever and dear Catherine was very tolerant of him and his whims! We also met their chum Ronnie Blythe at their home near the coasst, who was often to be seem gardening and toasted almost black by the sun. Happy memories; we were terribly saddened to hear from Catherine when she had awakened one morning to find he had died in the night beside her in his sleep. Although they were both of my parents generation, they just treated us as equals in every way and felt to us like friends rather than seniors. Both so very missed by us.
